Bowral Waste Centre (BWC) understands there were still occasional complaints of odour in the community last week. We have observed steaming material in the landfill batter, and it is likely that elevated temperatures are present in pockets of the mulch near the landfill surface. We are systematically removing them.
BWC is engaging a suitably qualified and experienced professional to further investigate and advise us as to the ideal works necessary and meanwhile we are carrying out further capping works.
