Bowral Waste Centre (BWC) is very pleased to inform you that our long-term solution to the odour issue is now fully operational. The flare has been running consistently since late afternoon on Friday 30 August. Since then, BWC has not detected any odour on-site or in the surrounding streets.
BWC is impressed with our fully operational system and monitoring has shown that gas levels are a fraction of what they were – and still dropping. We are very pleased with the operation of the system and will continue to operate the system indefinitely.
BWC would like to thank the residents for your patience and BWC again sincerely apologises for the inconvenience this odour issue has caused.
